"The Women's Program"

The Matt Talbot Center and its partners have seen a growing need for a program that is specially tailored to treat the issues faced by women in recovery, and so we began a women's program at our center in 1999.  In addition to the relapse prevention, anger management and leadership classes offered in our program, the Women's Recovery Program offers classes that address issues such as domestic violence, co-dependency and parenting skills.  These special classes are held separately from the men's classes, so that the women of our program can heal in the company of and receive support from other women.  Women who are more advanced in their recovery will attend anger management and conflict resolution classes along with men who are also in recovery.  These classes will provide a safe, secure setting where participants can begin to relearn how to positively relate to people of both genders.
